History: When Los del Río were invited to tour South America in March 1992 and while visiting Venezuela, they were invited to a private party. At this private party, a lady did a small performance for the guests. The group was very impressed with her dancing abilities, and so Antonio, one of the members of the duo group, spontaneously sang on the spot the macarena song's "chorus-to-be." The chorus essentially means, "Give you body some joy, magdalene, because your body is for giving joy and good things too." Naming a woman "Megdalena" is associating them with Mary Magdelene, essentially describing the woman as being sassy.
